On June 22, 2026, at approximately 6:58 PM, a wrong-way driver left the roadway and collided with a tree and an embankment at the intersection of State Route 20 and Marina Drive. The vehicle sustained significant damage, but no injuries were reported. The California Department of Forestry and TNT Tow were dispatched to the scene. The roadway was cleared by 7:36 PM.
