Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Collision on State Route 58

On June 15, 2026, a white truck struck a pedestrian near State Route 58 at Bus and M Street. Emergency services, including the Kern County Fire Department, responded to the scene. The victim was reported to be drifting in and out of consciousness and was claiming to be the driver of the vehicle. The westbound number two lane was closed in front of the fire station to facilitate the scene.
