On June 15, 2026, at approximately 5:45 PM, a vehicle-pedestrian collision occurred on the Interstate 880 North on-ramp to Montague Expressway West. Initial reports indicated a white Honda Civic and another white SUV were involved in a collision with a pedestrian. The incident blocked one of the middle lanes, eventually leading to all lanes being stopped. An ambulance and the fire department were requested to the scene. The pedestrian, who was initially down in the intersection, was later reported to be walking on the right-hand shoulder toward the freeway off-ramp.
