On June 3, 2026, at approximately 4:04 PM, a two-vehicle traffic collision involving a red Tesla Model Y and a black Dodge Challenger occurred on the northbound State Route 55 off ramp at Chapman Avenue. The red Tesla came to rest on the right-hand shoulder, and the black Dodge Challenger was on the left-hand shoulder. Freeway Service Patrol reported one vehicle in the center divide and three vehicles on the right-hand shoulder. A traffic break was requested by the Freeway Service Patrol to manage traffic flow just south of the Chapman Avenue east off ramp on the collector road.
