On June 7, 2026, at approximately 2:56 PM, a collision occurred involving a white Lexus RX and a white SUV on the right shoulder of the Interstate 10 East at the Garfield Avenue on-ramp. An ambulance was requested for a young child in one of the vehicles. The Avondale Fire Department Unit 97 responded to the scene. One party complained of back pain, and a daughter was reported feeling dizzy. The incident was closed by the CHP at 3:37 PM.
