On June 16, 2026, at approximately 3:29 PM, a traffic collision involving a Toyota Prius and another vehicle occurred on US-101 Southbound just north of Steele Lane. The Toyota Prius initially blocked the second lane, while the other vehicle came to rest in the center divide. Both vehicles were moved to the right-hand shoulder by 3:31 PM, reopening all lanes of traffic. The incident resulted in minor injuries and required a tow truck for the Toyota.
