On June 3, 2026, a pickup truck was reported driving erratically and in the emergency lane of Interstate 8 East. The vehicle subsequently went off the freeway and landed in the bushes near the intersection of Gordons Well Road, south of the on/off ramps. The collision caused damage to the perimeter fence, and Caltrans was notified. Emergency responders, including the Fire Department and AMR, responded to the scene. A tow truck from Jimbo's 24 Hour Towing was dispatched to remove the vehicle, which had a flat tire.
