On June 21, 2026, at approximately 8:19 PM, a traffic collision involving a red pick-up truck was reported on the right-hand shoulder of the Interstate 5 South connector to Interstate 8 West. A person was observed crawling on the right-hand shoulder. By 8:32 PM, a truck on the right shoulder of Mission Bay Drive at the beginning of the Eastbound Interstate 8 was flagged down.
