On June 5, 2026, at approximately 2:03 PM, a vehicle and a motorcycle collided on the southbound lanes of State Route 183 at Salinas Street. Initial reports indicated the motorcyclist appeared unconscious and the impact was hard. The incident was later updated to a collision resulting in minor injuries. Multiple tow trucks, including RR Tow and California Towing, were dispatched to the scene to recover the vehicles and the motorcycle, which was eventually transported by Salinas Auto Center.
