On June 5, 2026, at approximately 9:39 PM, a three-vehicle collision involving a box truck, an 18-wheeler tractor truck, and a blue four-door sedan occurred on the Interstate 5 South to State Route 60 East connector near the Soto Street on-ramp. The second lane was blocked as a result. Reports indicate the driver of the box truck may have been under the influence, as the vehicle was observed swerving across lanes prior to the crash. One person was reported as out of their vehicle. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, and a heavy-duty tow truck from Pepe's Tow was requested for the tractor truck.
