On June 15, 2026, at approximately 10:07 PM, a white SUV carrying four children collided with the center divide on Interstate 215 North near Sheriff's Department/Devore Road. The driver reportedly went off the roadway after attempting to retrieve a cup that a baby had dropped under the pedal. The driver exited the vehicle, which remained in the center divide and was not blocking traffic. A tow truck was requested to remove the vehicle.
