On June 3, 2026, at approximately 4:55 PM, a white Tesla collided with the center divide wall on Interstate 10 West near Jackson, mile marker 56. The vehicle's airbags deployed, and the vehicle spun out, landing in the slow lane. A white Honda Civic was also mentioned as being in the slow lane. The driver of the Tesla was found to be up and alert with an abrasion on his cheek; however, he ultimately declined medical attention. The slow lane was briefly blocked, and the Tesla was eventually moved to the right-hand shoulder to reopen all lanes of traffic. The vehicle was subsequently towed and stored.
