On June 5, 2026, at approximately 9:14 PM, a traffic collision occurred on the right-hand shoulder of the Interstate 5 South and State Route 110 South connector. The incident involved a white pick-up truck that sideswiped another vehicle. One party involved, driving a white Honda Fit, remained on the freeway shoulder and reported feeling unsafe exchanging information with the other driver. The driver of the Honda Fit later reported that the other party was honking and acting hostile. CHP responded to the scene, providing safety admonishments to the drivers involved.
