On June 23, 2026, at approximately 5:47 AM, a traffic collision involving a motorcycle occurred on State Route 74 West near mile marker 90 in the passing lanes upbound. A motorcycle was found over the side of the road, approximately 40 feet down a hill, and was initially unable to be located. After an searching effort, the motorcycle was cool to the touch, and local hospitals were checked for potential injuries. Later that day, CHP officers spoke with the registered owner of the motorcycle, who stated the collision occurred early Saturday, June 20th, and the vehicle was left at the scene. The owner was coordinating with immigration and naturalization services to retrieve the vehicle via tow truck.
