On June 4, 2026, at approximately 2:55 AM, a hit-and-run collision occurred at Phelan Road and Mescalero Road. A white Ford Explorer overturned and landed on its side off the roadway, while a dark-colored pickup truck was involved in the collision and left the scene. Debris was scattered across the lanes. Emergency services requested tow trucks from Air Expressway Towing to remove the vehicle and a downed yellow sign with a blue stake. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office (SBSO) was notified.
