On July 3, 2026, an overturned big rig resulting from a traffic collision involving a wrong-way vehicle blocked all northbound lanes of Highway 99 at the Avenue 7 on-ramp. Emergency services, including EMS and the Sheriff's Department, responded to the scene. All northbound traffic was diverted off the highway at Avenue 7, and approximately 10 Sheriff's Department vehicles blocked the southbound number one lane. Salvage operations were performed by various towing companies. Caltrans and media were also present on the scene.
