On June 5, 2026, at approximately 2:34 PM, a collision occurred between a white Tesla Model X and a grey Mercedes-Benz convertible on the westbound Interstate 10 just east of Alameda, blocking the first lane. The vehicles were disabled in the center divide. Due to heavy traffic, the vehicles were unable to move off the freeway, and there were no reported injuries.
